Use of artificial intelligence by vendors and artists

The focus of OxfordCon is to bring people together through pop culture and all things “nerdy”. We want our artists, creators, vendors and attendees to feel free to express themselves and share their passions. 

We recognize the use of AI, as part of the creative process, is becoming increasingly more common. Artists, creators, vendors and the public are still learning how to navigate in this landscape of increasingly more powerful digital tools while recognizing the value of meaningful human authorship. OxfordCon does not have an official position on the sale of art, materials or other content generated by, or with the use of AI. We encourage artists and creators offering goods for sale to be confidently transparent about the contributions of AI to their creative process. We encourage buyers to make informed decisions and inquire about goods for sale prior to purchase. Most of all we look forward to the opportunity for people to build connections with others in our community.
